Fifty years ago, the charter members of the Iota Gamma Chapter, known as the Black Jewels, embarked on a trailblazing journey to establish their chapter at Northeastern University, guided by the mission to cultivate high scholastic and ethical standards, promote unity and friendship, improve the social stature of girls and women, maintain interest in college life, and be of service to all mankind.

The chapter has since grown to become an undeniable pillar in the Northeastern and Boston communities, comprised of a diverse collective of accomplished members.

Now, half a century later, it's time to gather and honor the establishment of our chapter led by an unwavering commitment to sisterhood and service to all mankind. Join us for this celebratory event as we forge new memories that will forever be etched in our hearts and renew our commitment to our lasting mission for the next fifty years.

Marking half a century since the chartering of Iota Gamma Chapter, this formal affair invites current and alumni members, along with family, friends, and the wider Boston community, to commemorate 50 years of dedicated service and sisterhood. The evening will feature a cocktail reception, a sumptuous plated dinner, an inspirational keynote address, awards and acknowledgments, and ample opportunities for dancing and camaraderie. Join us for a memorable evening of celebration and reflection.
